Magnificent Nicole Frères music box, Geneva, circa 1860This exceptional music box was made around 1860 by Nicole Frères, the most renowned and sought-after house in the field. The refined mechanism plays six classical melodies on two combs, with a magnificent "Forte-Piano" configuration. The cylinder measures 33 cm in length. The box operates with key winding. The lid is adorned with fine marquetry, and the entire case is elegantly decorated with imitation wood grain. The mechanism control lever is on the left side.
