Very large antique carved oak wooden chest resting on four straight legs. Hand crafted in France in the 16th century. The chest opens with a flap. Panels in the lid, front and sides, have hand carved decoration with large geometric patterns. This chest is in beautiful condition, with old lock, key and authentic hinges.

This exquisite rural piece tells a story of craftsmanship, making it not just a storage solution but a stunning decorative accent for any room. The rich patina gathered in many years adds  to its wabi wabi feel and look. The extra large size of this rare bridal chest makes it even more impressive.
