"Ceramic Sculpture Signed Jacques Pouchain Circa 1970 "
Chamotte stoneware sculpture signed and stamped by Jacques Pouchain (1925-2015), famous French ceramist and painter. Abstract piece with modeled lines, evoking a moving landscape, characteristic of the free and expressive production that Pouchain developed from the 1970s in his studio in Dieulefit. The raw stoneware, with its natural inclusions, is worked in relief to interact with the light and highlight the texture of the material. The incised signature as well as a studio stamp are present at the bottom of the sculpture, discreetly integrated into the mass.
