"XVII Century - Polychrome Wooden Pyx"
Splendid polychrome hardwood pyx datable to the 17th century.
Object of rural manufacture, it has a fascinating polychromy with a notable micro crack (especially on the lid due to the grain in favor), which supports its dating.
The object, having a cylindrical base, ends with a truncated cone lid with painted circular motifs, under which you can see the presence of preparatory concentric lines engraved with a compass.
The body has a vertical crack due to the shape of the wood, which is all a single hollowed out block.
Generally well preserved.
Object of great charm, rustic and with beautiful polychromy.
