unusual medallion of Henry V clay Gayrard Raymond, born in Rodez in 1777 and died in Paris May 5, 1858 was a French sculptor and medalist legitimists author of numerous medals. Henry V was born Henri d'Artois also called Henri, Count of Chambord born September 29, 1820 in Paris (France) and died August 24, 1883 at Frohsdorf (Austria). He was first known as the Duke of Bordeaux, grand-son of King Charles X who abdicated in his favor after the French Revolution of 1830. In 1873 he thwarted an attempted restoration of the monarchy that offered him the vast majority of members of the national Assembly. Henry V said he was not proclaimed King of France of August 2, 1830 to August 7.
