Bronze group XIXth middle (old cast) signed on the basis GECHTER T: Jean-François Theodore GECHTER sculptor born in Paris 1796/1844 medalist of the Legion of Honor exhibits at the Salon from 1827 to 1844. Stage two representative elegantly dressed children pulling a fish from the water. Brown patina nuanced green origin, fine carving and much precision in the details. Ivory fishing rod (rebonding), beautiful condition.
