Living room set consisting of two chairs and an armchair carved walnut. Vintage French Art Nouveau work in 1910 by Henri Rapin (1873-1939). Good condition, covered in a new velor fabrics from Pierre Frey. Biography of Henri Rapin: pupil of Jean-Léon Gérôme and Eugène Grasset, it is gradually heading towards the decorative arts and so produces new art furniture evolving from about 1910 to the Art Deco movement. From 1905 to 1930 he was Artistic Director of malletier Moynat. Heavily involved in the revival of applied arts that characterize his generation, he was appointed for 1920-1934 school Artistic Director of the Ladies Committee of the Central Union of Decorative Arts and Artistic Advisor to the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres).
