Jean-Antoine Duclaux (Lyon 1783-1868) Jean Antoine Duclaux learned drawing in Lyon, under the direction of the Growler. It was first used in commerce, from Advent to Naples in 1805 or 1806 and he became the Secretary General Compere. He drew a lot in Italy and returned to Lyons, where he worked from nature and was advised by Revoil and Fleury-Richard. He debuted at the Paris Salon in 1812 and where he obtained a first-class medal in 1817. Jean Antoine Duclaux painted many landscapes surrounding the house which he owned in the village of Vourles, near Lyon. Museums: Lyon fine arts museum, Gadagne museum.
