They are in the foreground of the composition, processed by small vibrant impressionistic touches that reflect the characters' movements.

Henry Estienne (1872 -1949) is a genre painter landscapes, pastel and Orientalist.
He was a pupil of Gerome LL and JP White. He exhibited in Paris at the show of French Artists where he received an honorable mention in 1897.
He received several medals and Bashkirtseff prixmarie in 1903.
Listed on the Bénézit.
Period: Late nineteenth early twentieth century.

Condition: good condition, the canvas is slightly distended.
