Bouquet of flowers, this oil on canvas 60cm 41cm custom. Its gilt wood frame is a work of the seventeenth century Bolognese. Carved from linden wood, it is particularly remarkable for its profile overthrown decorated with openwork foliate friezes and (61cm x 42cm). This still life immortalizes a bouquet of flowers. Roses, white clematis, dahlias, anemones and parrot tulips are generously arranged in a baroque gilded bronze vase. The whole is arranged on a marble pedestal. The flamboyant colors of the game and that of clear-obscure tells us that this is the work of an Italian baroque painter. This painting is attributed to Andrea Scacciati (1642-1710). Student Mario Balassi and Lorenzo Lippi, he specialized in paintings of flowers. Painter of the Grand Duchess Vittoria della Rovere, he realized in collaboration with Bartolomeo Bimbi, on order of the Medici, many paintings on plant and animal themes. His bouquets are different from those of Bimbi by darker and shaded tones, more vibrant colors and the presence of baroque vases.
