Table titrated back "flagellates" (flagellates), signed lower right and dated 1951. Minna Citron Work done at 32 Union Square in New York (USA). Framed oil on cardboard. Dimensions of painting 29x40 cm. Overall dimensions with frame 39,5x52,5 cm. Minna Wright Citron 1896 Newark (NJ), New York 1991 (NY), painter, printmaker, designer, teacher, writer, conférencier.Elle maintained a studio in the Union Square neighborhood of New York in the 1930s and is associated a group of artists led by Reginald Marsh, known as the 14th Street School. Minna Citron also joined Stanley William Hayter "Atelier 17" after moving to New York during World War II (other members included Chagall, Dali and Lipchitz) and began working in an abstract style, the development of new techniques engraving.
