bakhtiari The carpet is a Persian rug. Its name is derived from the Bakhtiari tribe that inhabits the mountainous regions of Zagros in the southwest of Iran (Persia). There are over 50 different designs and qualities of these rustic rug and mobile products in this area.The drawings panels depicting gardens are the most sought after, followed by models with a central medallion and drawings of trees of life. The background is almost always divided into squares or diamond shapes and defined by a uniform border that puts the relief decoration. The sets are alternate animal and plant motifs. One can also find designs of flowers and shrubs that adorn the "trees of life".
