The subject of this beautiful pastel is from an engraving from a painting of the famous painter Jean-Baptiste Le Prince, returned and engraved by Helman in 1776. He was part of the latest - Journal of Politics and literature- of 5 January 1776 (published in the chapter 'Almanac', p. 561). The subject is described as follows:.. He is the brother of the author of the tale "Beauty and Beast. The Prince is studying in Metz and went to Paris at the invitation of Belle Isle Duke. He became especially students of François Boucher. It develops in Paris a very personal style that draws on the genre scenes he mutlpiplie after his many travels, the most famous is in Russia. in 1765 it is approved at the Royal Academy of painting and sculpture.
