Beautiful Carpets Kashmir India around 1980 native of Kashmir, India entièremment knotted by hand, Vegetable dyes, Kork wool and Silk, Size: 2,20mX1.40mm During the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth century, were manufactured in India carpets of great beauty from sheep wool and the finest silks using the Persian knot. However, from the nineteenth century and into the 1940s, the quality significantly lowered, with the exeption of low production in the city of Srinagar, Amritsar and Agra.
