"Commode Nîmes In Walnut Period 18th"
Commode Nîmoise in massive walnut with cross and sides openwork of 18th century time (Louis XVI). Facade, sides, strongly curved uprights, it opens on two large richly carved drawers decorated with ribbons, foliage, palmettes and branches of olive tree. The sides are "Lentils" or "Medallions" oval, with a sculpted cross and perforated. Superb front cross-beam, strongly adorned with decor of leaves and carved rocailles. The studs are also richly carved. Very nice overall patina. Entry of locks and pull handles in gilded bronze, but fitting very well with the sculpture and the decoration of the drawers. Plate in solid walnut with beak of corbin. Some restorations of use to be indicated, in particular at the level of a rear foot.
