CHINESE TABATIERE IN AGATE SCULPTEE - EPOQUE 19ème Chinese snuff box in agate carved on both sides of the scenes of fishermen. On one side, two fishermen equipped with traps and canes sail on a boat. On the other hand, a father and his children stand by the river. In the middle of the stage, the father holds firmly in his hand a big bait that makes an enormous carp emerge from the water. A child wields a lotus branch. The object is from the 19th century. The sculptor skilfully used the nuances of rust in the heart of the translucent stone to create its composition and emphasize its relief. Very good condition, without cracks or chips.
