"Wood Sculpture Of Avalokitesvara Sitting On The Lion. China, 17 Century"
Impressive wood scultpure, depicting Avalokitesvara (the Bodhisattva of compassion), sitting on the lion. This big carving, coming from an important italian collection, may be likely attributed to the end of Ming period or the beginning of the Qing era, 17th century (?). Size: cm. 80 x 60 x 32.
