Drawing table in pencil and wash on filigree paper signed IM PEYRET 1948 (Isidore-Marie Peyret 1880-1962). Portraits of three quarters with female figures titled on the back "the two sisters", framing in lacquered wood and gilded with the sheet. Good condition, note some foxing and a slight fold left. Dimensions: 65 cm X 55 cm / at sight 32 cm X 27 cm. Isidore-Marie Peyret (1880-1962) was born in Orthez. He was the friend of the sculptors Wlerick and Despiau and one of the few Renoir pupils, and even the only one. From his experience, he never betrayed the Impressionist movement even when he adhered to the expressionistic accents of Rouault. Like Renoir, he works on light and his modulations.
