"Umbrella, End Of 18th Century Ivory Carved Knob"
Umbrella with magnificent ivory knob carved from the bust of voltaire. This umbrella knob from the end of the 18th century was raised at the end of the 19th century on an umbrella of that era. The canvas was changed to the rule of art by the parasol Heurtault in Paris, specializing in umbrellas and umbrellas haute couture (www.parasolerieheurtault.com). The whole is in good condition, a small slit on the bottom of the knob and probably an old restoration on the nose. The umbrella measures 35 '', the pommel 5,5 '' long. France, 18th century for the knob and 19th century for the structure of the umbrella.
