Pair of gilt copper candlesticks.
The bases and the hooks are chiselled with palmettes, the drums, truncated, are composed of three heads of women in sheath on bare feet.
In 1804 Claude Galle delivered two pairs of identical candlesticks to the Palais de Fontainebleau.
The drawing of the model, dated 1799, is preserved in the Library of Decorative Arts (Pairs).
Condition report: very good condition, threaded rods of origin, small deformations of use at the base.
