"Commode Louis XIV In Rosewood Early XVIIIth Century"
Superb and rare commode commode of period Louis XIV with wood top in veneer of rosewood ornamented of gilded bronzes. Slightly curved in front, it opens with three drawers ornamented with a geometric shape. The studs are trimmed with brass and the sides are diamond-plated. It is capped with its original wooden tray, decorated with geometric shapes, sun and maltese cross, all surrounded by its ingot mold. The chest of drawers is decorated with drop-wrist cuffs, locks and decorative bronzes on the uprights and an ass of lamps on the lower transom, all in gilded bronze. Fully restored and varnished redone, this dresser is superb by its quality of wood, its bronze, natural furniture in its original state.
