"Pair Of Candlesticks In Gilt Bronze, Louis XVI Period, By Feuchère"
Pair of candlesticks in gilt bronze, from the Louis XVI period, by Feuchère.
It was decorated, base and binet, with acanthus leaves and pearls.
Carries an unidentified inventory number BD 341 (I and II).

An identical pair was bought, on July 20, 1805, by the Palais de Fontainebleau for the topographic cabinet of the Emperor. The inventory of the Palace describes them as follows: "two torches, old form, round feet with water-leaf and pearls, fluted rods, colet with small spindles with grooves and flowers of 0.27" (Arch. Nat. 654)

Condition report: very good condition, complete cleaning - disassembly and inspection - in June 2017
