Brooch Ancient Silver Hair Souvenir

Antique souvenir brooch composed of an oval motif made of braided hair on a mother of pearl paste set with an initials applique and protected by a glass. Set surrounded by a vegetal decoration branches and leaves of ivy delicately chiseled. The clasp is a pin with safety hook.

Period: 19th century
Main material: silver 925 thousandths and yellow gold.
Proportions: Length: 5 cm, Width: 4,5 cm, Thickness: 8,3 mm.
Net weight: approximately 23.4 g.
Authentic old brooch - Work from the second half of the 19th century.
Our opinion: This type of jewel of feeling has become rare especially in this state of preservation. The ivy leaves reinforce the sentimental symbolism of this jewel.
