Camille Roqueplan is representative of the romantic movement following Flers, Huet, Isabey. After studying, he exhibited at the Salon in 1922 where he was awarded several awards. His works are very similar to those of Paul Huet, with whom he works at that time. He exhibits landscapes, the marines of Normandy, Brittany, the Pyrenees, the Vosges and Holland. Around 1830, he held a very busy workshop. Tired of tuberculosis, he died at age 52.
