Plate in pewter, decorated in relief of four medallions representing the allegories of the four seasons: Earth, Air, Water, Fire. In each medallion, an inscription in French, German and English for the name of each element. Dolphins, bulls, horses, salamanders, dragons against the backdrop of greeks alternate allegories. Jules Brateau is a sculptor, goldsmith, jeweler, chiseler and potter of tin born in Bourges on 2 November 1844 and died in Fécamp on 23 October 1923 at the age of 78 years. He carried out all his works with rigor and great care, recognized by his peers as the master who allowed the renaissance of the art of tin in France.
