Pair of large drawings executed in ink and enhanced with gouache dating from the late eighteenth century - early nineteenth century. It is about romantic compositions: the first one represents two men of which one of them draws, accompanied by a dog. standing in front of a waterfall flowing from a rocky promontory on which stands a temple colonnade. the second represents two shepherdesses and their flock of sheep informing a rider accompanied by his dog, in a landscape animated by a stream and a waterfall, ruins in the distance in the plain and on the mountain. these two animated landscapes are very finely realized and a large format. stains and some small stains on the old papers. beautiful recent frame in oak, the drawings are nicely framed with smarie-louise of good quality.
