The 2 friends: François-Xavier (1506-1552) and Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556), Spanish Basque, both canonized the same day of 1622.
the counter-enamelling is midnight blue and one of the portraits bears the signature in gold.
These 2 portraits on slightly curved plates form a pair, of the same dimensions and that I wish not separate.
