Rare spark arrester dating from the mid-nineteenth century (around 1860) bronze formerly gilded in perfect condition, bearing the mark of the famous Parisian bronzier Charles Casier, stamp on the base "CH.CASIER" and his monogram, two C intertwined; its rococo-style outline is finely chiselled with acanthus and foliage, its central motif representing an allegory of winter, a nymph in a sledge pulled by a cherub on the clouds.
