Important and rare writing desk, called "guillotine", in end grain wood (laburnum) and mahogany, of the Louis XVI period. The flap discovers a theater composed of some storage spaces and six small drawers.
Due to its scarcity, we know little about end wood furniture, in any case none of the statements we have found can be scientifically controlled. The only thing we know for sure is the essence of wood, the laburnum.
Condition report: Restored in our workshop in autumn 2017.
Lock entries are nor original, traces of old restorations.
