French Painter 19th century
Born in 1812 in Châlon sur Saone
Genre scenes, military subjects, Orientalism Pupil of Léon Cogniet (1794-1880), he exhibited at the Salon of Paris between 1833 and 1866. His canvas depict military subjects : dragons of Napoleon III during the Battle or presentation, Conquest of Algeria… He produced also hunting scenes of the French aristocracy. His work shows primarily horse riders.
