"Shelf Of Popular Art - Auvergne 1832"
Rare fruit wood shelf, folk art work of the Puy en Velay region. The decorations are similar to those found on the boxes and folders of lacemakers. The wood is carved and perforated with stylized motifs and symbols: daisies, crosses with commas, rosettes spirals, "pots-a-fire", teeth of wolves etc ... This piece of wedding furniture cut in the sides, the initials RB + FT of the two promised, as well as the date 1832. Dimensions: Height 95 / Width 66.5 / Depth maxi 25 cm. Two arched doors and a drawer.
