"Joe Descomps Pair Of Art Deco Statues"
Rare pair of Art Deco period statues circa 1925 signed by the famous sculptor Joe Descomps (1869-1950) and edited by Meynial, elegant allegorical subjects in enameled ceramic ivory finely cracked depicting Pomona and a resting Fauna standing on an ornate faceted base bas-reliefs animated by a cherub alternating with a young fauna playing the pan flute and punctuated by flowery fluted angles. The two sculptures are signed by Joe Descomps on the terrace and by the publisher under the base Bon état, to note some fragments of enamel. Dimensions: 35 cm high X 10 cm wide.
