Nice and rare pedestal table in flamed drowned veneer.
Work of the 30's

Height: 62 cm

on curved uprights and spacers 60 X 60 cm.
Thickness: 20 mm.

Very elegant pedestal table. Signed with a monogram in markers (!) Very thick glass shelf (claws & a very small luster)

Maurice Allet trained in decorative arts with Jean Rivière at the School of fine arts in Toulouse.
In 1897, 1st price of individual initiative and ornemental sculpture.
He created Art Nouveau and Art Deco furniture of very good quality, then inspired by the currents of the 40’s and 50’s, he takes again the currents of modernist thoughts initiated among others by Charlotte Perriand & Jean Prouvé
His realizations are signed or stamped in the name of the «La Ruche» workshop to which succeeds the mention Jauvert and Alet and then, from 1925, his initials intertwined.
He works various regional and exotic wood species producing luxurious plating and marquetry combining aesthetic research and functional concern.
In 1935: furniture of the library of Toulouse
In 1936: tables and armchairs of the sessions room of the chamber of commerce of Toulouse.
