Very beautiful oil on canvas by the artist Eugène Antoine Prieur Bardin (1870-1939) representing "Barges unloading ships in the Old Port of Marseille in 1903". The work in very good condition is framed in a beautiful 19th century frame and measures frame included 74 cm by 63 (44 cm by 55 cm without the frame). It is signed and dated 1903 lower right.

Eugène Antoine Prieur-Bardin was born in Vénissieux (Rhône) in 1860.
At the birth of his son in 1897 we find him in Constantinople where he lives from his painting. Then he moved to Marseille to paint there until his death in 1905.
