Important nineteenth bas-relief from a castle of the Loire Valley. Solid carved wooden structure of high quality of execution (most of it in the round) depicting the royal coat of arms symbolizing the monarchy of the United Kingdom organized in the dexter by a unicorn enchained to a crown and sinister by a heraldic lion standing on a background with a rich foliage pattern emerging from the Crowned Helm that overhangs the coat of arms emblazoned, the lower part is embellished with a banner bearing the motto of the monarchs 'God and my right', the upper part is adorned by the imperial crown of Saint -Edouard. Dimensions: 1 m 22 long X 1 m 20 high with the crown (90 cm high at the frame without the crown) X 13 cm thick.
