Miniature on ivory, portrait of Marshal Michel Ney, Duke of Elchingen, Prince of the Moskowa born in 1769 in Saarlouis and shot in 1815 in Paris for treason, following his rally to Napoleon in Auxerre. Apocryphal signature of Isabey, blackened wood frame and gilded bronze. Original mounting in black leather. Very good state. Diameter of the miniature: 8.5cm Frame: 15cm
