Beginning in 1886, Joseph Millon exhibitedsuccessfully and constantly at the annual Salon in Lyon. His earlylandscape ‘’Un soir de Septembre, souvenir du Bugey’’ (which is signedJ. Million)Joseph Marie Millon paintings are masterful renditions of luminouslandscapes. He particularly enjoyed portraying riverscapes andlandscape scenes of the countryside surrounding Lyon.
