"A Chinese Box In Red Lacquer Nineteenth Century"
The box consists of three elements: the body of the box, the lid and a movable element compartmentalized with seven boxes. The box is decorated with gold leaf on a background of red lacquer and patterns arranged in different cartridges. There are floral and geometric decorations, interlacing, a dragon figure and a Fo dog.
The representation of the protective figures of the dog fô and the dragon certainly had to favor the good conservation of the contents of the box and to avoid that it is stolen or damaged.
This box presents some wear of uses due to its age and its authenticity. Delivery worldwide.
This object is visible at Pipat Antiquités in our showroom at 19 cours Bacalan 33390 Blaye.
