"Fawn And Goat Study"
The work is signed lower left and bears the wax stamp of the Rosa Bonheur sale at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris in May-June 1900 on the back. Specialist in animal painting, this study is a fine example of the naturalism that characterizes the works of Rosa Bonheur. She particularly liked these animal representations, often wild animals. Some of his works can be found in some of the world's greatest museums, such as the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
