Pair of porcelain plates from China for the French East Indies Company, decorated in the Japanese style of Imari, white porcelain decorated with blue under a red iron covering. - on the wing, border with successive garlands of six foliage flowers of carnations, peonies and daisies, in blue and red. - on the marli, all around in dark red iron a geometric concentric lattice with four jets of blue flowers cut from four reserves delimited by blue lines. - on the basin, a foral decoration from which rays outward from stems of flowers, periwinkles, peonies and other flowers of the fields. Qing dynasty Qianlong period (1736-1795) Era China 18th century. Light enages without any restoration. Diameter 23cm.
