Two Drawings by Theodore Leblanc (1800 -1837) Two studies for the Battle of Habrah, graphite, watercolor and gouache. The first drawing bears the following inscriptions: Evil. Clauzel, Yusuf, Zaccar, Leblanc 1835; study for the fight of Habra; the second drawing: Cel Letang, royal Pce, Gal Baudrand, Leblanc 1835; study for the fight of Habra Théodore Leblanc is both a soldier and a painter-lithographer of history. He studied painting with Nicolas-Toussaint Charlier. At the request of Louis-Philppe, he works for the Historical Museum of Versailles for which he performs the "Camp Palkares", the "Combat of Habracht" and the "March of the French Army after taking Mascara" .
