The drawing is not finished. The sky, in the white and rosé is only sketched, and represents a big task. There is no doubt that finished, this sky would have given the work all its brilliance and its spiciness. However, as it is, the work has a certain intimate charm. The horse, a thoroughbred camarguais, the Guardian wearing jacket and game bag, this one holds his trident barely sketched. The work bears a few pencil strokes, as well as some quick hints about the scribbled colors. Although unfinished, this watercolor remains a very nice portrait of Gardian Camarguais.
