Large oil on canvas, representing a Breton seafront LAINE Victor Born in 1830 or 1831 in Paris. Died in 1911. Nineteenth-twentieth centuries. French. Painter of genre, animal, landscapes. Student of E. Huot, he started at the Paris Salon in 1857 and was a member of the French Artists since 1906. Set to Barbizon and friend of JF Millet and Ch. Jacque, he frequently painted aspects of the forest of Fontainebleau and rustic subjects: herds, sheepfolds.
