"Chalice In Silver And Vermeil Patène Chest France 1798-1809"
Silver calyx posing on an animated base with crutches adorned with alternating canvassed dice, the doucine having three reserves depicting a dove on a burning hearth, the mystical lamb and a swan feeding its young alternating with a branch of reed and of a grape vine on an amati background, the baluster shaft embellished in its upper part of cherubs head underlined with floral and festooned garlands. The gilded silver cup is enclosed in a large openwork border decorated with interlacing and alternating bunches of grapes and ears of wheat.
