This spectacular watercolor of very large format (54 X 72cm out of frame, 75 X 92 cm overall) shows us a throw of multicolored dahlias placed in the middle of dead leaves while waiting to make a bouquet ....
Sensitivity with which each petal is painted suggests that the artist may have been a pupil of Blanche Odin ... Beautifully mounted in a golden frame with a little rugged channels, especially at the bottom, by a marie-louise double bevel.
