Pendulum, gilded bronze and veined red marble, to the history of Pygmalion and Galatea, polychrome enamelled dial signed Thiery in Paris. Meas. (H x W x D): 38 x 37 x 13 cm. The moment seized for this model of pendulum, is that where the wish of Pygmalion is realized. His sculpture comes alive. Galatea comes alive under his amazed eyes. So that the subject is very explicit, a bust placed on a column and instruments necessary to the sculptor are disseminated on the case of the pendulum.
