Nine engravings representing serpents, extracts works of the Count of Laceépède (1756-1825) Zoologist and French politician. Friend of Buffon, he publishes many richly illustrated books on animals to democratize their knowledge. These engravings after Oudart are engraved by Delarue and date from the late eighteenth - early nineteenth century.
