Armaillis Characters In Painted Sheet Metal Swiss Epoque XIX

Pair of painted sheet metal figures representing a man and a woman, in traditional costume, with a hood on the shoulders. The armailli is the typical shepherd of the Fribourgeoises and Vaudoises Alps, responsible for the cheese exploitation on the meadow where the herds of cows spend the summer months. Period early nineteenth century. A few small depressions of the sheet metal, lack of paint and traces of oxidation.
