Molded crystal tumbler produced by the manufacture of Baccarat under the restoration with a portrait of the king in crystallo-porcelain. The engraving of the portrait, according to Gatteaux (engraver and sculptor) is very precise: the costume and the medals worn by the king being perfectly recognizable, including that of the Holy Spirit The crystallo-porcelain is a technique appeared at the end of the eighteenth century consisting of the production of a ceramic element resumed in chiselling by the craftsman and then included in the crystal. The manufactories of St. Louis, Baccarat, Moncenis, and St. Mandé were the principal manufactories which produced them.
