"Tea Table - Emile Gallé (1846-1904)"
Tea table with walnut structure, two trays inlaid with different species. Lateral base forming stylized basket incised with plant motifs, ears and coils. Fluted spacer forming X stretched, fixation reinforced by trunnions. Rectangular plateaux lightened in arches in the corners and edged with a large flat rim forming a gallery. Inlaid lower tray with large plant motifs and water sheets. Top shelf with inlaid decoration, in the foreground, sparrows and leaves of water, and in the background, fieldwork on a village background. Fluted tray supports and carved with a stylized rosette.
